The Falco Systems WMA series consists of a range of high voltage laboratory amplifiers with industry-leading specifications. We have high voltage amplifiers available with extremely wide bandwidth (DC to 5MHz) and high speed slew rate (2000V/us), but also with ultra low noise (50 microVolt rms in DC – 100kHz). These specifications make the different amplifiers of the range an excellent choice for use with MEMS devices, EO-modulators, PZT positioning systems, beam steering components, ultrasonics, and in many other applications.

New: Ultra-low noise high voltage amplifier WMA-200

  • Ultra-low output noise: ~50uVrms with DC – 100kHz large signal bandwidth; ~20uVrms with DC – 500Hz using the supplied load capacitor box
  • High voltage: 20.0x precision amplification up to +175V and -175V output voltage with respect to ground
  • Short-circuit protected output with 275mA output current capability
  • No overshoot with capacitive loads: bandwidth changes automatically to ensure stability
  • 2 inputs: a standard BNC connector, and a differential connector to reject interference (mating connector supplied)
  • BNC monitor out connector provides 1:100 replica of the output signal
  • Available in a 230V/50Hz and 115V/60Hz version
  • Lead-free, environment-friendly construction

Compact, all-round high voltage amplifier WMA-100

  • 20x amplification up to +175V and -175V output voltage (with respect to ground)
  • DC to 500kHz at (-3dB) large signal bandwidth and 100 mA output current
  • Very low noise at ~350 uVrms; even lower when capacitive loads are driven
  • No overshoot with capacitive loads; bandwidth changes automatically to ensure stability
  • Short-circuit protected output
  • Adjustable DC offset control knob
  • Available in a 230V/50Hz and 115V/60Hz version

High speed high voltage amplifier WMA-300

  • High voltage 50x amplification up to +150V and -150V with respect to ground
  • DC to 5MHz large signal bandwidth and 300mA output current, ideal for electrostatic MEMS and piezo actuators
  • High speed 2000V/us slew rate
  • Continuous short-circuit protection
  • No overshoot with capacitive loads and perfectly stable

Low noise precision high voltage amplifier WMA-280

  • High voltage 20.0x amplification up to +150V and -150V with respect to ground
  • DC to 100kHz full-power bandwidth (-3dB) and 300mA output current
  • Low output noise: 300 microVolt rms
  • High precision: <0.1% amplification error
  • Continuous short-circuit protection
  • Stable with capacitive and resistive loads
  • 1kOhm 0.1% input impedance with protection
  • Differential and normal BNC input

High speed high voltage amplifier WMA-320

  • High voltage 50x amplification up to +100V and -100V with respect to ground

Battery powered high voltage amplifiers

Falco Systems provides a range of battery powered high voltage amplifiers, which can be used e.g. with floating power supplies or in a Faraday cage. They also serve as excellent cost-effective small stand-alone amplifiers.

These tiny high voltage amplifiers run from a low voltage 24V DC power supply or battery and provide a bipolar high voltage at their output. The WMA-02 delivers -175V to +175V, the WMA-01 -125V to +125V, while the WMA-005 covers the low voltage end of the range, with -75V to +75V output voltage.

  • Low output noise: <3mVrms for the WMA-01 and <0.1mVrms for the WMA-01LF typical
